Launched in San Diego in 1948, Orion -#68 of 83, underwent a large restoration by Baird Boat Works of Port Townsend WA in 2006. Mahogany planks (some new), over steamed oak frames (all sistered). Updated rigging with Schaefer and Harken blocks, roller furler. Lots of bronze hardware and varnish. 4hp outboard. Very minimal systems, but she makes up for it with volumes of class. Designed for racing, the interior of the K32 PC is lean on purpose – built to be fast and functional. Interior includes cooler, sink, fresh water tank, v-berth, interior and cockpit cushions and full canvas cover. She is perfectly suited for your day sailing adventures.
Needs paint and varnish and a new halyard to be out racing again. Sailing in it’s purest distilled form.
